Extra Literary Forms

Choose a written form outside of the conventional story. You might write the story in the form of a menu or a recipe, an office memo or TPS report, a parking ticket or newspaper article. Basically, the idea is to write a short short using an existent, non-literary form. Some great examples of this from literarture include:

"Me and Miss Mandible," Donald Barthelme (journal entries)
Pale Fire, Vladimir Nabokov (interpretation/criticism of a poem)
Michael Martone, Michael Martone (contributor's note)
Homeland, Sam Lipsyte (letter to high school newsletter)
